An independent four-piece from Providence, Rhode
Island, Sol 18 is a hybrid of Latin, Pop, Caribbean

music. Like the Sun, they want to reach out to
everyone; no matter Race, Color or Language. They’ll
make your days warm and full of Love. They'll be the

Patmos Brothers Revival
Drawing from a wide range of influences they
combine old time country, bluegrass, blues,
rockabilly and many other styles to create a high
energy sound. Each member of PBR is unique and
contributes a wide range of knowledge and
influences, some of which are only just beginning to
appear in the overall sound of the band. Joe has
worked in several bands, including Fat Thomas and
Groofus, playing guitar and contributing vocals. In
recent years the mandolin has become his main
instrument and in addition to this Joe also
contributes vocals and his song writing skills to
the band. Andy has worked in several bands over the
years, including the Maple Sugar Gang, Anything
Goes, and the Lockhart Mtn. Boys. His main role in
PBR is on guitar, harp and vocals, but on occasion
he is still seen pickin’ his banjo and other
instruments he has learned over the years. Drew has
been playing bass for years and has played in
several bands from Colorado to Rhode Island,
including Fat Thomas with Joe. In addition to bass
Drew also contributes to the vocals.

The Glass Jars
The Glass Jars purposefully defy categorization.
They are folk rock acoustic fuzz traditional indie
experimental pop troubadours. Each song is fit
within the genre that best frames the lyrics while
retaining an over-arching Glass Jars sound. Led by
front man and storyteller, Liam Dailey, but not
multi-instrumentalist and musical visionary, David
Lee, the band is completed by drummer Luke Henry and
pianist Chris Nota. The band has been fermenting in
Luke's basement for two years building up a
repertoire of Liam's best material and perfecting
it's line-up, and is now ready to burst onto the
local scene with an LP of our current ballads, as
well as an archive of our less prided work.

The
Abominables
To know where the Abominables are, you need to
know where they came from. Chris K. and Mike C. were
in this band called The Flukes (maybe you know of
them). But that band broke up. Luke "The Big Cheese"
Whipple, Matt K., and Big Benny B., were in The
Better Deal who also broke up. Voltron was in some
band called... well I can't really remember the
name, but that one broke up too. So, since we all
liked playing music and we all liked a lot of the
same types of music, we started the super-group that
is now known as The Abominables.

Human
CreativityHuman Creativity’s sub text
is creating a community of artists without regard to
age, race, gender, or global border. Human
Creativity is a multi-arts program at Central Falls
High School in which students learn to thrive
through the arts. Along with founder and Artistic
Director, Deanna Camputaro, alumni Arts Educators:
Elisa Guzman, Gemimma Medina, Ana Viera with artist
partners, master Malian drummer and recording
artist:
Moussa
Traore and professional teacher and dancer from New
York City: Kana Kubota work with students to share
their voice with audiences all around New England.
Human Creativity has two major performances in the
community of Central Falls. One in January: The
Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, and one in the
spring: The Final Showcase. Selections from the
Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration are taken on the
road and performed all over New England from January
through May. Students who are involved in the
program not only enjoy an arts experience, but also
create proficiency based packets for their
graduation portfolio. Human Creativity is partially
funded by Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and
the Central Falls School District SCOPE Initiative. |
